Chapter 1581. The Girls And The Copies.
Chapter 1581. The Girls And The Copies.
Evelyn walked forward, holding her spear while Sierra walked by her side. Zephyrith, while she was Sierra’s wife and also fought by her side all the time, was a beastwoman. Therefore, she didn’t count as part of her strength, unlike Sierra.
This made Sierra a bit reluctant. “If we train like this, won’t we leave Zephyrith too far behind?”
Evelyn glanced at the wild and perfectly muscular wolf woman and rolled her eyes. “I know you are reluctant. However, are you really going to pass up such a perfect chance to become stronger?”
Sierra shook her head. “Naturally, I am not.”
Evelyn nodded. “I expected that. If you really said that you wanted to pass up this chance, I might’ve been tempted to cut off our bond.”
Sierra was shocked, but Evelyn shrugged. “Don’t look at me like that. You and I are connected, so you know that while I wouldn’t abandon you, continuing to be my contracted beast would only do us harm. If I become too strong, it will be you who suffers.”
Sierra realized, and she sighed. “You are right. I guess this is the feeling Yasenia always faces? It really is… conflicting.”
Evelyn smiled. “Yes. That’s why Zephyrith won’t stay still while we move forward. You will be in front of her, but she will follow you if she truly loves you. Even if she doesn’t, will you abandon her?”
“I won’t.” Sierra shook her head.
Evelyn laughed. “That’s more like the Wolf Queen I know. Alright, let’s meet our copies, shall we?”
Sierra looked ahead, and soon, the white field manifested two copies. Evelyn’s copy was truly gorgeous. Her hair was a gorgeous orange-gold, while her eyes were a fascinating olive color. The woman’s clothes, in contrast to Evelyn’s royal blue with gold accessories, featured a mix of purple accessories with orange clothes.
Coupled with her peculiar eye and hair color, her copy looked quite charming.
On the other hand, Sierra’s copy had transformed into a black-furred and red-eyed, charming woman who looked like a devilish demon.
Evelyn raised her eyebrow. “You look great.”
The Copy smirked. “Narcissist much? Praising yourself so blatantly is quite shameless.”
Evelyn laughed. “Well, you and I know I am quite shameless.”
The copy’s smile became meaningful. “Are you truly? Or is someone trying to overcompensate for her slightly shy and unconfident self?”
Evelyn’s lips twitched. “Hey, was this copy for emotional training or physical one?”
“Both.” The copy laughed. “After all, getting stronger needs both body and mind to keep up.”
Evelyn scratched her hair. “Alright, should we start, then?”
“No rush.”
“Huh?”
Evelyn blinked, confused. Then, she saw her copy looking in Yasenia’s direction and then… drool. Evelyn’s jaw loosened. “What are you doing?”
“Admiring Yasenia’s peerless holy mountains before I get killed.”
“...” Evelyn, Sierra, and Sierra’s copy looked at Evelyn’s copy with strange eyes.
“Alright, I am done. What a sight, truly. I can’t appreciate them enough. Sadly, she is taking that torturous bath. Otherwise, I would’ve loved to dive headfirst into her.”
“Alright—die already. [Luminous Mountain Pierce].”
The no aura copy burst with terrifying strength, her body surging with dreadful black, white, and gold electric currents. Then, as Evelyn’s spear was about to hit, the copy actually spun her spear and deflected her strike, throwing Evelyn off-balance and piercing her spear toward her throat.
Evelyn’s eyes widened, having not expected the other side to react so quickly. Since she had not used any buffs on herself, and the copy had surged with all her strength, even when it was the first copy, she couldn’t react.
THRUST!
Evelyn’s throat was skewered by the copy, her olive-colored eyes playful. “Easy there. Did seeing Yasenia stroll through the bronze ranks make you arrogant? Take things seriously, yeah?”
After that, Evelyn fell to the ground, her head almost severed from that strike. The Star Breaker Realm Bead quickly healed her injuries, returning her to normal.
However, Evelyn stayed on the ground for a few more seconds, her mind reeling. ‘Was I so fast? I couldn’t even react…’
Since there was no floor to go lower, her multicolored copy didn’t even need to appear. So, Evelyn stood up, her purple eyes still shocked. “Careless… Wow. Who knew that I would stumble so embarrassingly?”
The Copy shook her head. “Not your fault. You subconsciously used Yasenia, who is quite used to the treasure, as a benchmark. Let me give you some advice. You should use all your strength, and then slowly strip away buffs and powerful skills. Try to defeat me with the least strength you can. That’s the best method to use this Star Breaker Realm Bead, which Yasenia noticed after her first attempt went quite badly.”
Evelyn rubbed her neck after she stood up, looking at her copy with a complicated look. “Did Yasenia also lose?”
The copy rolled her eyes. “What do you think? Yasenia overcame quite a few floors before purposely losing. Either way, don’t focus on what others have done. Focus on your mistakes.”
Evelyn took a deep breath and focused. “Alright. Come.”
This time, the world around Evelyn was transformed into a monstrous lightning storm. Her purple eyes flashed with lightning bolts, torrents of electricity swallowing the surroundings as she manifested her full strength.
Sierra and her copy jumped away, both of them rushing at each other in human form at first.
Then, Evelyn’s copy failed to follow Evelyn’s speed and was taken by surprise. Her own body reacted quickly, though. She used a defensive skill before lifting her spear and calling down a world-destroying lightning bolt.
As she did that, Evelyn moved away and waved her spear horizontally, manifesting tens of thousands of lightning spears and rained them down onto the copy.
The massive bolt from the Copy was dodged, and her counterattack was too brutal, instantly killing her copy.
Sierra also used a bit too much strength, and her auraless copy had her own arm destroyed, dying after a few claw and punch strikes.
Both copies reappeared. This time, it had a faint bronze aura around it. The copy chuckled. “You went overboard. Don’t worry, though. Having perfect control straight away is something only monsters like Yasenia can do. Still, you did well not killing me in the first strike.”
Evelyn didn’t sulk and instead nodded, listening attentively. “I will try to control myself better.”
“Good. That's the attitude and spirit.” The copy smiled, satisfied. “Come.”
Andrea glanced at Evelyn’s battle, and she became thoughtful. Seeing Evelyn fight brought a completely new perspective to the Star Breaker Realm Bead. It was like going from seeing a master user to a newbie. While she learned how to do it with Yasenia, she understood what not to do with Evelyn, which helped them quite a lot.
“I see. I get it.”
“Good that you do.”
An equally charming voice reached Andrea, and, looking sideways, she widened her eyes slightly. The tall woman standing there had gorgeous white skin, a perfectly athletic body, white hair, and light red eyes. Her armor, unlike the black-and-red one on her body, was a beautiful silver with bluish tints.
If Andrea looked like a heroic dark knight, her copy looked saintly yet equally heroic. Honestly, even Evelyn, who was fighting, couldn’t help but glance over a few times. “Andrea’s copy is… too attractive.”
While Andrea’s sun-kissed beauty was exceptional, the opposite of her usual aura was equally charming. A tempting, dark yet righteous knight, and a heroic and saintly woman. Both incredibly tall, both perfectly muscular, both having that feminine charm.
Andrea extended her halberd and smiled. “Alright, shall we fight?”
The copy shook her head. “Listen to me for a bit. Your case is a bit more complicated than usual.”
“Hm?” Andrea stopped and listened.
The copy commented, planting the butt of her gorgeous golden halberd on the ground. “Your inheritance and strength are best used when you are riding a beast. A dragon is the best among beast bloodlines, since you are basically a dragon rider.”
Andrea nodded, fully understanding that. The copy smiled faintly. “That’s why you can learn both mounted combat and individual combat. Therefore, I recommend trying to hold back a little when fighting copies and beating them both mounted and commanding your two beasts.”
Ebirah and Vairon stood by Yasenia’s side, listening. Andrea pondered and commented. “So, you want me to defeat you in my strongest form, riding Vairon and with Ebirah’s help. Then, you want me to dismount and fight again.”
“That’s the gist of it. Of course, it would be best if you could mount Yasenia. However, that’s something we can leave for when you are a little stronger. Right now, it wouldn’t be you mounting Yasenia, but Yasenia allowing you to be on her head as she fights.”
Andrea smiled wryly. “Can you not put it so bluntly.”
The copy laughed. “Hey. Your inheritance would strengthen Yasenia. Still, your role would be like… an energy supplier? A strengthening treasure? Not a true dragon rider. Therefore, you must at least reach the Silver Copy level before you start thinking of riding Yasenia in combat.”
“Got it.” Andrea took a deep breath, and scorching heat burst out of her. “Vairon!”
Both the copy and Andrea jumped upward, and a second later, two gargantuan dragons manifested with Andrea on their head. Ebirah, not losing at all in size, also transformed into her beautiful lobster form. The pink-shelled lobster princess, now fully matured, looked exceptionally beautiful, shimmering like pearls.
Then, both sides rushed at each other.
Cecile looked at them as she felt a presence appear by her side. Looking sideways, she saw a red-eyed, black-feathered phoenix woman with cold facial features standing by her side. “Fight?”
The copy glanced at Cecile and nodded. “Yes. Not much to say other than do your best.”
Cecile nodded and disappeared, appearing several hundred kilometers away. When she did, she drew her bow, manifesting a giant phantom bow hundreds of kilometers tall. Then, an arrow transformed the world around Cecile into a terrifying spatial and ice storm.
Her copy transformed into a massive black phoenix, cold flames forming a giant shield that blocked the destructive arrow. Having expected her defense, Cecile had used her space attribute to appear above her copy’s head, bow fully drawn into a full moon as she aimed downward.
“Die.”
BOOM!!
The giant phoenix’s head exploded, yet the auraless copy didn’t disappear. Instead, terrifying black flames enveloped the phoenix, and Cecile frowned. ‘Annoying. I have to kill my copy more than once.’
The last one to participate was Angel, but she didn’t rush. Instead, she sat by Kali’s side, looking at Yasenia’s curled figure inside the terrifying bathwater. Kali patted Angel’s leg and smiled. “You can go. I will stay here until she finishes.”
Angel smiled and shook her head. “Don’t worry. I will stay with you as well. I want to be with Yasenia.”
Kali didn’t insist, and both of them began talking about their experiences during the last few decades to kill time.
